Meet Me

In my fifty-something years, I refuse to let the bad news undermine my morale every day. Instead, I choose to stay positive as much as possible and keep moving forward.
Born in Caen (Normandy) in the early 1970s, I am now reaching a « respectable » age, which has led me to believe that everyone can, at their own level, make a small contribution to a better world… starting with me.
Always moving forward, overflowing with new ideas, open-minded, and curious about people and the world, I love sharing my culture and history with others, as well as discussing just about everything with passion.
Since my secondary school years, I have always wanted to speak foreign languages so I could communicate with people from all over the world. Decades later, here I am, welcoming the world to my home region. 😉
Starting my working life in the 1990s in the retail industry, I quickly switched to the hospitality industry, which better matched my aspirations. This career led me to travel the world, promoting the companies I represented.
I then lived for four years in the French West Indies, where I experienced, for the very first time, the consequences of centuries of slavery.
I started guiding American visitors on the D-Day landing beaches 10 years ago, working for a major World War II museum in Normandy. I later managed a remembrance site dedicated to D-Day and the Battle of Normandy for six years. Throughout those years, my growing knowledge of history strengthened my conviction that understanding the past is the first essential step toward understanding the world we live in today. Knowing history does not necessarily mean agreeing with it, but it can certainly help us avoid repeating past mistakes and better understand current events.
I am a single mother of a 22-year-old son, who is now making his own way in life and of whom I am very proud.
My work and life experiences have shaped the person I am today—more tolerant, more kind, and even more conscious of our shared humanity.
Why choose Me ?
-
I have good knowledge about DDay landings and WWII – as well as the French history – to emphasize on the events with a faithful history telling (if I can’t answer a question, I will tell you I don’t know instead of inventing the answer… and I won’t recite a book text 😉)
-
I’m a fifty-year-old woman with experience in life, with female and motherhood sensibility to offer you a different perspective on the events and enrich our conversations (no offense to my male colleagues who are doing a great job too 😉)
-
I am a warm, friendly and caring person whose goal is to make your journey a great moment and spend a very good time together, respectful and joyful
-
I am fuelled with people’s joy and well-being and committed to make your stay a once-in-a-lifetime souvenir
